Emmanuel Kids

 

Dear Emmanuel Mums and Dads,
We are happy to welcome you and your child(ren) to Emmanuel Kids.

Emmanuel Kids is catering for the needs of 4 different age groups:

Emmanuel Mini Club (1-2 yrs),

Emmanuel Maatjies (3-6 yrs)

Emmanuel Kids Junior (Grade 1 - 3)

and Emmanuel Kids Senior (Grade 4 -7)

 
Emmanuel Kids is open every Sunday during the school terms, and closed during school holidays.
Our teachers will take the children to their classes during or after the praise and worship time at church.
(Occasionally the Juniors and Seniors will leave during the worship time to allow for extended activities in class.)

Emmanuel Kids teachers will look after your children during children s church times if the child attends the classes.

Unfortunately we cannot watch the children before 9 a.m. or take responsibility for children who do not attend classes.

Emmanuel Kids

Please make sure you fetch your child after the service has ended. Do not let the children run unsupervised around, as there are busy parking lots and streets around the church. Thank you.


 

Emmanuel Kids Seniors

In our groups we learn all about living with Jesus

It's quite a challenge to learn reading the bible on our own!

Our Seniors (grade 4-7) are following a South African Sunday school curriculum called Ivangeli taking them through the entire bible in 4 years in an age appropriate way.

Seating: A special section in the church, at the back entrance doors is reserved for the Seniors and Juniors during praise and worship.

Please provide your child with an own bible in their preferred language. If your child could have a Sunday bag with some basic stationary such as colouring pens, it would be awesome. We do provide pens, glue and scissors, but some children prefer having their own supplies at hand.

You are free to bring a cake and cold drinks for your child’s birthday, this is optional. Please confirm with the teacher so we can plan ahead.

 

Juniors

Our Juniors (grade 1-3) are also currently taught the Ivangeli curriculum taking them through bible milestones in 3 years in an age appropriate way.

Seating: A special section in the church, at the back entrance doors is reserved for the Seniors and Juniors during praise and worship.

Preschoolers

Emmanuel Kids offeres an exciting and loving environment for our preschoolers between 3 -6 to learn about Jesus, the bible and God's plan for their lives.
The Emmanuel Maatjies (afrikaans for friends) are a fun preschool group in which your little one will be very welcome.
Very committed teachers are their for your child to learn and play together.
Please make sure you take time once in a while to thank the people who look after your children during the services.
 

Babies and Toddlers

Toddlers: The chairs in the back of the church are reserved for moms with babies and/or toddlers

Toddler classes always open after the praise and worship at church.

One parent per child is always welcome to go to the class together with their little ones until they have settled in.

There is a mother’s room open providing privacy for nursing moms.

The room is equipped with a nappy changing facility and a speaker to listen to the service behind a one-way window.

This room also serves well as a place to go with an upset little one.

Please pack a little care bag for your child with his or her name on, including some snacks.
We do provide cold drinks and a snack every Sunday but it is not always possible and not every child likes every snack provided. Your child feels safer with their own bottle and snack. Also try to bring some tissues or wet wipes.

Do not let your child attend children’s church when he/she is running a fever, suffers from an infectious disease or has a heavily runny nose. We are just being considerate not to let other children become sick at church!

 

Helping out

Participation: Mom’s who have a heart for toddlers are invited to do little activities with the toddlers class (you will have people assiting you) or just come and help in class. Donations of toys (Megablocks, cars, good-as-new dolls and stationary are always welcome. Please contact us at church.
